About Me

When he was just 9 months old Greg McCown moved to Tucson.  His family started out right near the University of Arizona.  After a few years his family moved just a few miles east.  From then on, each time his family would move, it would be further east.  By age 11, Greg was living less than two miles from the end of Speedway up against the Rincon Mountains.  During those years he spent a lot of time out in the desert enjoying the beautiful trees along the Tanque Verde wash, the natural swimming pools in Sabino Canyon, and the off-road activities in Redington Pass.  Greg especially loves the mountains.  He has spent many days and nights camping, hiking, skiing, and occasionally repelling in the Catalina Mountains.

At age 21 Greg met the girl of his dreams.  Misty lived in the East Phoenix area at the time.  In following his dream Greg moved up to Mesa, Arizona, and in March of 1995 they were married.  About three months later, Greg found another love in the form of real estate.  Both his parents had successfully sold and invested in properties in the Tucson area for many years.  Within six months Greg and Misty had purchased a four unit apartment building and moved into one of them after fixing it up.  After three more years which included two beautiful children, lots of college, and plenty of smog and traffic, Greg convinced Misty to move their family back home to Tucson.

They began their search for a home on Tucson’s east side, quickly finding a small home with a guest house near Camino Seco and Speedway.  Greg fixed up the house and moved his family down from Mesa.  A few months later he sold the property in Mesa and began investing in properties in Tucson.  From that point on Greg has fixed up several properties, selling some and keeping others as rentals.  During this time Greg and Misty had a three more children.  Brandon is now the oldest at age 14, Jessica is 11, Megan is 9, Josh is 3, and Jacob just turned one.  Greg's first priority is to his family, spending virtually every spare moment with them.  From soccer and piano practices to church and family activities Greg enjoys every moment he has with the ones most special to him.

When Greg first started a career in real estate his primary motivation was for investment.  However, he found that he truly enjoyed helping others in the process of buying and selling real estate.  Even after obtaining an MBA in May of 2002, Greg found that any new career would not be as fulfilling as the one he had come to enjoy so much.  In recent times Greg has come to specialize in homes on the east side and income properties.  Not surprisingly, this is right where Greg grew up.
